The TSB User Interface
Your administrator will provide you with the address of the Tetrate Platform User Interface. Depending on configuration, you may log in using a named user account, or with an OIDC login.
An Overview of the Tetrate UI
This quick guide introduces the following components in the Tetrate UI:
- The Dashboard page, for a quick summary of the state of the services which make up your application
- The Workspace page, to view the configuration for these services
- The Service Registry, for a detailed view of the services managed by the Tetrate Platform
View Status in the Dashboard Page
The first time you log in to the Tetrate Platform, you arrive at the Dashboard pane. Initially, you'll be presented with a blank dashboard:
Select CLUSTERS • NAMESPACES to list the Workspace/Cluster/Namespaces that you can view:
Chose the Workspace/Cluster/Namespaces relevant to your application.
The UI will then display a list of the services within these Workspaces (combinations of clusters and namespaces), as follows:
You can also view the Gateways in your Workspaces, and access the Topology view:
View Configuration in the Workspace Page
In the Tetrate Platform, configuration is contained within Workspaces. Navigate to the Workspace pane, which will list the Workspaces that you have access to:
Observe the namespace selectors that define the scope of your workspace.
Within a Workspace, configuration is further contained in Groups. A group contains a subset of the configuration, either Security, Gateway or Traffic Management settings, for a subset of the Workspace. For example, a Gateway Group contains the configuration relevant to Gateways:
View Services in the Registry
Finally, the Services pane gives a detailed list of the services you can view, and is the starting point for additional metrics, logs and troubleshooting:
