Deleting Configuration Profiles
Deleting profiles
Deleting a profile can be done from the Settings section in the TSB UI.
warning
- Deleting a profile is not the same as detaching a profile.
- Deleting a profile will impact resources to which the profile is attached. Ensure that you are not deleting a profile that is in use by any resources.
To delete a profile, follow these steps:
- In the left-hand menu, select the proper hierarchy level (e.g. Settings for Organization level).
- In the top tab bar, select the CONFIG PROFILE tab.
- Locate the profile to delete in the left table.
- Click on the Delete icon.
- Confirm the action.
Post-deletion tasks
After deleting a profile which was still attached to a resource, you will see that a reference to the deleted profile is still present in the Profiles in Use table. This is because the profile was still attached to a resource when it was deleted. The reference to the deleted profile will be removed once the resource is detached from the profile. Note that instead of the Profile name, the ID is displayed.
To detach a profile from a resource, follow these steps:
- Select the profile(s) to detach in the Profiles in Use table.
- Click the Remove selected items button.
